The region of Dumfries and Galloway is LGBT friendly, with plenty of support and communities. Dumfries & Galloway LGBT+ is the biggest. They offer loads of events all through the year you can attend. These regularly include film nights and bi-group gatherings. Whether bisexual, curious or interested in finding out more about bisexuality, these events are open to all, including partners and friends and family of bi people.
Dumfries & Galloway Pride events
Our area boasts two pride events each year.
Dumfries Pride offers a vibrant celebration of love, diversity, and community on the High Street in Dumfries. It’s a time to have fun and celebrate our diverse cultures and identities. Keep an eye on their planned and exciting lineup of performers, speakers, and activities.
Stranraer Pride is a family event which has live music, stalls and a youth zone. Taking place in the heart of Stranraer it promises a day of fun for everyone. Both of these Pride events take place in August and September – check out the website for more info.
Dumfries and Galloway may be a rural region, but we are increasingly embracing and celebrating our LGBT community through various Pride events such as these.
