The Rhins of Galloway

The Rhins of Galloway is our particular part of Dumfries and Galloway. This is a double-headed peninsula, projecting into the North Channel of the Irish Sea. It’s the home of the Mull of Galloway, which is the most southerly point in Scotland, where you can climb to the top of its lighthouse for spectacular views. The two main settlements on the peninsula are Stranraer and Portpatrick, but there is so much more to explore across the area, from historic villages to beautiful gardens.
